Visionary Mural Co. This is beautiful. I did't create this finish but have a lot of metallic experience in murals, faux finishes, and paintings. Modern Masters makes great water-based metallic paints for this type of finish. Expect lots of coats even with the opaque metallics. We typically tint a primer close to the color of the metallic then brush on each coat with a soft synthetic hair brush in many directions, softening as we go with badger hair brushes. It can take lots of coats so use the most opaque option. With a textured ceiling like this it's a lot easier because you aren't going for coverage with no movement in the finish. You can also glaze over it with a transparent antiquing glaze to add depth. We've also had good luck with spraying Modern Masters Metallics. If your ceiling is flat you can also look into troweling on texture with waxes with metallic mixed in or even Modern Masters Metallic plasters or Lusterstone or other Faux Effects products.
Introduce some shimmer with a brassy ceiling. This unexpected dose of glamour — above gray bedding and window coverings and a silver-speckled rug — makes the space exciting.
Or if gold is more your color, make a splash with a ceiling painted in the color. A bed frame in silver complements the bold paint choice so it doesn’t become overwhelming. Who couldn’t help but feel glamorous underneath this dramatic ceiling?More:Using Metallics to Brighten Up Any SpaceAdding Shine to Your Home With Metal and MetallicsSparkly and Warm: Decorating With Gold
Think of the places that you'd never expect to find gold, like the ceiling. Not only will it instantly contemporize a space, but the reflections will help the room feel more spacious.

Give ceiling a shimmer with touch of gold. Higher paint sheens and metallic finishes are also popular this year. More gloss means more reflectivity, which means more light. Gloss can subtly create a brighter, more upbeat mood in a home, but at the same time, it adds style and pizzazz!
