This backyard landscaping uses Cor-Ten steel walls for edging, alternating with concrete and wood benches in a zigzag pattern. The rusty steel is used in a planar manner, jutting from the ground in sheets. Needless to say, this isn't a yard for kids to run around in!

Cor ten steel "bleeds" for the first few years and stains cement if is within 9 inches or so. It might not be so great as a seat back, but as a retaining wall or divider, it might work great.

Create large landscape art using Cor Ten. Tip: When using Cor-Ten, keep in mind that runoff from the initial rusting phase can stain adjacent surfaces, like concrete. This phase can last several years, so if you decide to use it next to these surfaces anyway, plan on a stain cleanup after the rusting is done.
