Castro Design Studio The shutters were custom made by a local millwork shop. They rotate to open and shut on a pivot hinge.

Castro Design Studio The paint color is "Sage" by Benjamin Moore. I think it would look fine with a dark floor, but it depends on the other paint colors you are using, the light in the room, as well as your decor.

Castro Design Studio The roof has a very low slope, and the skylights are up on a small curb. Because of the sight lines to the porch, it all appears to be a flat roof. You can see photos of this space as viewed from the back yard in the album "midtown" in my profile.

Castro Design Studio Thank you! The mantle is bolted directly to the fireplace, it has no brackets. The idea was to keep it as light as possible.

It looks like an outdoor architectural element, like a window on a Greek revival structure (oh lord, do I have the genre right?
