justlilolm I like an open toilet...just saying...we are doing our bathroom reno right now & have been asked that, but personally, I like some space. :)
scehle I am doing a renovation project and my customer gave me this link asking me to see if I could find out what the wall color was in the photo. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Is the floor tile or wood? - If it is tile, what brand is it? We're redoing a bathroom in our NH Victorian/Farmhouse and are considering wood grain tile in the BR remodel. Thank you. »
reneesheehy Imbedded does say 444, but I binged that and there are several brands with that number. It looks more like Glidden's 444 to me. What do you all think?
Is the flooring real wood or the tile wood look? Please see below for helping. - We are building a beach house and love hardwood floors but don't know if it's wise to put in a beach house. I've seen photos of the wood looking tiles but hate the hard feel under foot and the coldness they might give off. Since this is a MAJOR decision throughout the entire house I would like to know your thoughts & feedback from people who have used the wood look tile. Thank you so much! »
mimicruising We have just put a wood look tile in a lake house. The house is unfinished, so no one has lived with it yet. It looks really good, much warmer than regular tile and much more water proof than wood. We bought ours from Interceramic. Daltile has a nice one too that we also considered.
Isabel Antunes I have been in the wood business for over 25 years and agree that there are certainly woods you DO NOT WANT in a bathroom. Burmese teak is one that you DO. I also installed it in my own bathrooms 10 years ago and it's great. It's never cold and easy to clean. Burmese teak is the wood they used on yachts.
@designREMODEL Baths, Kitchens & More Most likely the section between the chair rail and baseboard is painted drywall. This look is consistent with the shaker style doors on the vanity.
What are the pros and cons of real wood floors in a bathroom? - I am trying to choose the flooring for my master bath and it seems like it would be nice to extend the wood floors into the bath. What are your thoughts.
Thank you!! »
mpieracci I have wood floors in my bath. Although I love the look- it ties in with the rest of my very small house, I feel like i must cover high traffic areas with rugs, thus covering the beauty of most of the floor! I've had no problems with water damage in the five years I've had them!
Prime Walls A lot of tile companies are creating tile that appears as wood flooring, but is wonderful for bathrooms and kitchens because it can stand up to the moisture of these areas. Most tile companies should offer what you're looking for, and they are gorgeous.
Amanda Fossum Design That looks like a custom cabinet to me. The best way to get the most storage and ensure a perfect fit is to have cabinets made for your space. I usually use a factory made product rather than a local cabinet shop for all cabinets that may come in contact with moisture. Also, you can try Restoration Hardware for this same look!
gmanzi11 It looks like brecchia damascata... not sure if i spelled it correctly it is very pretty with shades of pastel pink and green through it with a beige background
Like this window - what would be the cost of purchase and installing the type of bathroom window in this picture - measurements 3' 7" hight and2'7'' wide? »
5. Foggy blue Cape Cod bathroom. Not every homeowner wants an all-white bathroom, and Houzz readers loved that the blue walls and hardwood floors in this space provided contrast.
