What are these surround panels made of? - I am thinking of doing this around m new tub but, my contractor is balking. He says if it's wood it will soak up water and be ruined so is there some material that is used other than wood that can take the water? »

Imagine reclining in a nice hot bath while catching your favorite show. But wait, isn't that a mirror at the end of the tub? Yes, it is...but it's a sneaky two-way mirror with the t.v. hidden behind it and only visible when in use. Very cool!
Can you just imagine what this must look like with all the lights turned off in the evening? Candles, rose petals and champagne...what could be more romantic?

There’s no better place to relax after a long day than the bathtub. A wall of candles will result in a relaxing vibe and enough light to catch up on your favorite magazines.
Take advantage of technology. A number of companies now offer TV screens embedded within bathroom mirrors that completely disappear as soon as you press the off button. This is a terrific option for small bathrooms or minimalist spaces in which a TV might look awkward.
I say no bathroom is complete without candles. I love to switch on my music, light my candles, turn the lights off and wallow in heavenly scents. But (listen to the voice of experience here) be sure to get good-quality beeswax or soy candles so as not to ruin your decor with black smoke.
5. Offer indulgences. An afternoon off may be the perfect gift for the person in your life who seems to have it all together. Turn the master bathroom into a spa, complete with fluffy new towels, champagne or tea, candles and favorite music. Find a new bench for a favorite spot in the garden and set a relaxing, bubbling fountain nearby.
