Could you tell me what the trim is finished with? - The trim looks beautiful, and goes great with that color. I'd like to put it in the house we are buying. Could you tell me what you finished the trim with? »
archway question - hi, I would like to put this archway around my one. mine is straight so i dont actually have the archway, but the concept is the same. I am wanting to know when I go purchase the items what do i actually need to buy. (just the part where it starts from floor to the start of the arch) »
Frederick + Frederick Architects We had the trim custom made by a local woodworker. You probably should go to a local lumber yard a see what their stock pieces are and combine them into the design you want..... Or hire an architect!
Can you tell me where the mirror came from of the manufacturer? - I love the mirror and have never seen one quite like it. I am hoping you can tell me who the manufacturer is or where it came from. Or the interior designer.
Thank you so much. Your homes are lovely
Kindly,

Annie Thornton Like most design decisions, choosing trim color is totally up to you. It is very important that you make these decisions with intention. Pick a rule and stick with it. Choose colors that complement each other, and go with it. I have seen all trim done the same way, or baseboards painted one color and doorways painted another. The outcome will be successful if it looks like you clearly chose the colors you used and where you used them.
Amy If you want continuity throughout your house, stick with one color on the trim and baseboards, the doors can match or all match each other. It's all about the visual flow.
Natural stained molding is not just for rustic, casual homes. It can add a very elegant touch to luxurious spaces, too. A reddish stain will coordinate very well with traditional cherry furniture.
Make a statement with an enfilade of true-arch doorways; a suite of rooms aligned with one another creating a vista, a common feature in grand European architecture from the Baroque period and beyond. Contrasting antique white oak trim accentuate the shape of these arches. The simplicity and uncluttered feel of the hallway allows the arches to sing.
