5. Easy accessibility. All of the supplies should be easily accessible. If it takes a lot of work to get stuff out they won't even bother. Baskets, clear containers, small bowls and vintage muffin tins all make good storage options.

so cool - I've wondered about purchasing some of the Martha components I've seen in the Home Decorators catalog. Did you paint them, or is this the original green? It looks much brighter than in the catalog. Also - thanks for the idea about stashing brushes, paints, etc.
