bepsf This is the type of thing that could have easily been created by a local carpenter out of lumber and standard mouldings - Nothing at all special about the pieces used here other than how they're combined.

Here's an example of the peninsula bar I was describing with no storage underneath. Your barstools could be small enough to fit perfectly underneath the peninsula.
The idea of open upper cabinet on the far left.. creates storage space and is open so it doesn't make the room feel too tiny and the colors are bright and airy

As you can see, many of them look quite alike (and in fact are made by the same company with different labels).
