Terri Symington, ASID This was not a paint. It is a troweled on material by American Clay out of Albuquerque New Mexico that is an actual clay product. This particular finish is in the Porcelina™ line of clays and the pigment color was Chacolatte. http://americanclay.com/landingpage/
Terri Symington, ASID Thank you for your inquiry. I designed the lighting specifically for this project. If you will notice, the chandelier lighting has both direct and indirect lights, which can be operated independent of each other. I coordinated the pendant fixtures, along with the wall sconces that are seen in the sky-lighted hallway with the dining area chandelier. The fixtures were fabricated by a lighting and metal studio in Austin Texas by the name of Two Hills Studio, Inc.
Terri Symington, ASID Hello Marjie, the flooring that was used here is a random shaped flagstone... not unlike what you would use on the exterior. It was carefully selected from the lot so that the chosen pieces were pretty smooth to eliminate as much unevenness as possible... plus the stone layers were very good!
Here is a photo of the same project where you can see the stone on the exterior.
Arrowhead Development Company Ltd I was considering doing a limestone flagstone floor for a living room, kitchen and entry. Was the flagstone applied in the same manner as for the exterior (with mortar and pointed with mortar) or was a grout used between stones? Also, did you apply a sealer for the interior and what did you use? Finally, would you use flagstone in the interior again?
Thank you.
Irene
I like the this space. Kitchen, dining area, family room being separated by fireplace/wall. If there will be a fireplace, I prefer it to be gas instead of wood burning.
Me ha gustado el piso de esta foto asi como las vigas del techo. Aunque en la foto el espiritu de la casa es mas cabana de montana que casa mediterranea a mi parecer.
