Michael Tauber Architecture dlowen7861,
First off - glad you like it. These were poured in place. Initially we wanted to have the edge cantilver so they looked like they were floating but the building was rightfully concerned that the things that needed to be hauled up the stairs would break off the cantilever...not that you asked but I thought I would add a little story.
Thanks again,
Michael
Michael Tauber Architecture Not sure if there is a question here, but thanks for picking the photo.
If you have a question feel free to contact me.
Good Luck,
Michael
The greenery in between the large, wide concrete staggered steps humanizes the man-made material. I love the play of textures here, from the smootheness of the slabs, to the stones in the retaining wall, to the smaller stones on the ground around some of the concrete slabs, to the texture of the mounds of greenery and their surrounding mulch.
