Adventure playground - Monastery town of Hornbach

The design concept intended to have the characteristics of the monastery town included in the playground renovation, creating a customized solution specifically for Hornbach, Germany such as the play tower made of broken stones, with a direct visual connection to the monastery, based on the historic building structure. Brick-build arches and a tunnel vault also remember in detail to the originals. The square tower also refers to the local history. It measures exactly 3 times 3 “Hornbacher Ellen”, a measure of length from the Middle Ages.
