club906 Actually, a note for all on this - it is NOT a trampoline. This is a bed sold at floatingbed.com. Can hold plenty of weight! But it is not a DIY.
trampoline bed - I see several people have asked a step by step direction on how to make this swinging trampoline bed. Will that be available anytime soon? Or is that information not going to be given out? »
Sure Thing I found this image through a friend and sadly I don't know how exactly it
Was made.. I'm just basing it on what I can see, which look to be a repurposed
trampoline, heavy boat rope, cheese cloth etc. It's a stunner for sure
and I hope to make one for myself soon! Let me know if you begin building it and want advice... Cheers.
Carolyn Budai after a lot of searching, its actually NOT made from a trampoline, though I'm sure you could do it. The company that makes them is called "floating beds"...
Sure Thing By what I can see it's a repurposed trampoline
/ heavy rope and muslin.. No step by step here, sorry. Looks
Fairly easy and a lot fun to make though :)
how do you make this - I am so in love with this and of all things the house we are buying has an old trampoline in the storage shed we were going to throw away. Would you be willing to please share you directions? »
Floating Bed Company This is not a trampoline. The Floating Bed is a stainless steel hoop with a flat, adjustable tension woven sleep surface and a memory foam mattress on top. It is made of indoor/outdoor weather and water-proof materials that will not rust, wear or fade. See: www.floatingbed.com
tat3r I'm pretty sure I'm going to build one of these when I get my house built. Hint: Craigslist for a trampoline (Bazoongi brand sold at Walmart have 7.5' size, you'll always find a trampoline for sale on Craigslist), (replacement spring set may run $20 if needed at Walmart or Amazon), use white 550 paracord for the rope (be sure to get the 7 inner-stand kind, super strong and weather resistant, on Amazon for $15 for 100 yards). HomeDepot/Lowe's for the hardware and a crafty wife for all the soft cushy stuff. Total project cost should come in right around $300-500 total. Hit me up if any of you build one. I'll post pics of mine when complete, but house won't be done until May+ so don't wait on me. Now, go forth and conquer.
Will it hang from a tree? - I'd like a tiny house, so outdoor furniture is important. How big would a tree branch have to be to support this, and how could I do that without hurting the tree? »
This is not technically indoors, but OMG, I couldn't resist. Romantic afternoons, family story time and solo naps. This item from Floating Bed is made with a stainless steel hoop with an adjustable-tension woven surface and a memory foam mattress on top. A little slice of heaven.
what's not to like....i can picture this in my gazebo that i live in from april to october and would just enjoy being on this floating device and feel like im in heaven
