Westheimer Plumbing & Hardware This picture was taken from the manufacture directly. I am not sure because it is not one of our clients but it looks like carrara marble. Thanks!
Westheimer Plumbing & Hardware Yes it will not rust. It is made of crushed granite. There is no metal in the sink so therefore it won't rust. Very, very durable.
Kevin Perera How can you cut on granite? Won't that ruin your knives? Wouldn't the material have to have a bit of give - a Corian type, or something - to work as a cutting board?
Westheimer Plumbing & Hardware Good morning,
This sink is from Blanco and comes in 8 different colors. It is $1143.75 and $75.00 for shipping plus tax. It takes us about 2 weeks to get it once it's ordered.
If you have any other questions you can always email me at carrieb@westheimerplumbing.com
Thanks!
Westheimer Plumbing & Hardware Hi This is a composite sink so there is no need for extra support. You install it like a regular undermount sink and cut the whole for the granite including the drain board. If you have any other questions please email me at carrieb@westheimerplumbing.com
Thanks,
Carrie
Westheimer Plumbing & Hardware We have sold hundreds and I have never had one crack once it is installed. I have had them crack during transit/shipping. If they are not shipped properly they can crack. Most of us at our company and our families all have them in our own houses and love them. We always suggest checking it thoroughly before installing it.
The basics: Granite composite sinks are about 80 percent granite and 20 percent acrylic resin. The combination of granite and acrylic makes for an extremely durable material and surface, beating out quartz composite for strength and scratch resistance. Commonly found in dark hues, granite composite can be custom made in an array of matte colors.Cost: From $250 to $550. These sinks are so reasonably priced mainly because they're a blend of materials and not solid granite.
