seyshellies I had black bamboo planted on the sides of my yard for privacy about 8 years ago. It has begun to spread all over my backyard and I don't know what to do. I live in Los Angeles. This house is in the San Fernando Valley. It's becoming a huge problem. I've attached 2 photo's. The bamboo when originally planted around 2004 and then a second pic from around 3 years ago. I need help! Not sure who to reach out to. Any suggestions?

Habitat Design Black bamboo is a runner and needs to have a bamboo barrier when planted to keep it contained. I say this for future readers as you already know this!

Call Bamboo Giant - they are in Northern California but will tell you exactly what to do. There may also be an equivalent company that specializes in bamboo nearer to you.

Habitat Design probably not - according to Monrovia.com, it grows in zones 8-10. Somewhat more temperate climates.
