Master Bedroom Photography by Stacey Brandford Added May 5 · Comment · Like Andrea MacCallum I really like the green settee. May 5 at 10:45am Erin Muldoon Kokoszka Perfect...everything! May 5 at 10:58am Billie Giberson Moloney sarah is the QUEEN of layering fabrics and prints!! Planning on using these ideas to flesh out my living room. May 5 at 11:18am Cyndi Sommers Sherman love the white board and batten ceiling. we did the same in our log cabin. we needed to get rid of the dark t&g that was in there. i also like the liberal use of painted t&g through out the house and now that I have seen it successfully pulled off will not be afraid to go after ours with paint! nice job. May 5 at 12:47pm Patti Haughton Just love it, love it! May 5 at 12:51pm Maryann Pomroy Kowalsky Sorry folks--don't stone me but it just doesn't jell for me. Too much pattern but that's the fun of individual taste! May 5 at 1:08pm Jackie Savoie Gotta love that bed! The only teeny tiny quibble - I don't like those $20 lamps painted orange! I would have left them black and gold. May 5 at 2:50pm Debbie Brumell Wow, that sure is alot of colours, textures and different patterns! May 5 at 2:57pm Kathy McGrath There's not much of a headboard on this bed. May 5 at 3:52pm Judy Bonnaure Yeah...sorry but I don't get it from the photo...will have to watch the show when it airs in the US. There's a first for everything :( May 5 at 5:37pm Rachel Carey Love all the pattern....it just *works* (for me). I would not have painted the lamps orange, I hate orange...rest of it is excellent. May 7 at 9:07am Elle Smith This isn't my favorite color palette but after seeing them create this room, I've decided that ANY color palette works with fantastic design behind it Saturday at 8:04pm Type any

Does anyone regretting putting wall sconces over their bed? My bed will sit between 2 windows like whats pictured. (It's a french country sleigh bed with a very high headbard.) I'm feeling like I don't want lamps to block the windows, but I keep seeing it done in bedroom pictures and it always looks good. Can you do sconces AND lamps? too much? ......help! can't decide »
) To me the swing arm is the trick. Without it, you never get the light quite where you need it to be. The other thing we do in every master bedroom are directional low-voltage, recessed spot lights. If the lights are positioned above each pillow, then directed to cross each other (the light above the left pillow shines on the right), you never get a shadow when you're reading and your partner doesn't get blinded.
