Piedmont Remodel traditional

Piedmont Remodel

Probably 1/2 of the 1920s homes have built in cabinets in the dining room. About a 1/3 of these have been removed over time. My old house had a tiki bar where the built in cabinet had been removed. The proportions of old cabinets are different than new cabinets. here, the glass is wavy, bendheim restoration glass, and is leaded (3/16" round headed lead). Hinges and detailing are period style from the 1920s.

For older homes, I like Bendheim antique glass. It is slightly way and adds a subltle level of texture.
