Dimensions - I was wondering what the dimensions of this desk are. I am hoping to make my own. If you could maybe create a material list? Anything would be greatly appreciated!

feeny Well, there is always the student classic: two two-drawer file cabinets with a space in the middle and a flat unfinished wood door on top. You can stain and varnish the door yourself. I used that student desk configuration all through graduate school and loved it. The file cabinet drawers make it a very efficient use of space.
COConsultants It looks like what they used to call the salesman's desk, 42" wide x 24" deep this one. might be 30" deep but I do not think so.
They look like legs from an old sewing machine bottom, which makes a great little desk especially now. Wish I had saved my pedal. When you are on the computer too long you could pedal your feed for leg circulation.
Top could be a piece of butcher block home depot. However home depot for less money will cut a straight piece of granite one slice straight with a back lip for counter top which would be. great so you would have a pencil lip.
just a thought.
With a butcher-block top and solid-steel-pipe legs, I doubt a more sturdy desk has come along since the steel tanker desk. This piece is full of character and comes at a very reasonable price for something handmade.
Having one made to my dimensions,as we speak, I am now wheel chair dependent so having the length increased lowered slightly and narrowed as there is a window I need to reach across the "desk" using either reclaimed beech or sycamore
