There are plenty of other fun patterns that may be a bit on the trendy side and not lasting, but would still be fun to have in a home design. Just because a pattern hasn't been deemed as classic, doesn't mean that you can't incorporate it. Just utilize the print in a less permanent way, like this photo illustrates. If you were to use a herringbone pattern as the tile pattern for your bathroom floor, perhaps use the psychedelic floral or dog print as the towels. Don't limit yourself, just because you may not like the same style in 5 years.
