B. Eilers Designs Hi Stefan, Thanks for your interest in my work. Overall the long window wall was approximately 13'. The desk is upstairs so I had to come up with a way to prefinish all the solid walnut tops off site and not have to join and show a seem at install. The lower counter was approx. 24" wide for a copy/fax/scanner. On each side of the printer were letter file drawers, and the outer cabinets had legal size files. You can't see from the pictures but behind the three center cabinets we had power, phone and internet access and there is a wire troth/cleat under the tops along the wall and wire grommets in the top for a clean finished look for all electronics. Both husband and wife work outside the home and this was a way to have individual work space and not tucked away in their own home office. Pamela Green Interior Design of Laguna Hills, CA. started with the original concept and with the two of us working with the homeowners it became a very functional piece for them. Glad you like it!! Bill
Make use of L shaped desk along the wall and near a window. Dark woods with black top. Keep center of the room open. Compliment the book shelves and artwork.
I like the two ares for a desk and the center space would be perfect for the printer to sit on. There is also a lot of space to store things hidden from view.
