You shouldn’t go college-style and decorate your place with street signs, but the one room where big signage totally works is the garage. Signs just seem to make perfect visual sense when paired with industrial equipment, and I especially love how these are hanging from the ceiling. If you can’t find such memorabilia, vintage framed ads can add a similar effect.

1. The perfect place to tinker. While a 2,000-square-foot garage isn't something you come across every day, the techniques HartmanBaldwin Design/Build took to design this garage are no different than those for a 400-square-foot space. This man cave is divided up into two main portions: one space made to house the cars used on a regular basis, and one made for his workshop. The owner of this home works on vintage cars and car models quite frequently, so it was vital that this massive garage designated certain areas for certain tasks.
