kansasrose What about the lights? We are redoing our kitchen right now and are just ready to put that stuff in (the under cabinet lights and power strips. We would love lights links that too.
This is a terrific idea! Love it, but wondering if the angled surge will still be GFI Compliant? - I am about to do my backsplash and love this idea but between the existing outlets and the GFI, could this still be a viable option? »

The Home Improvements Group, Inc. Check out Task Lighting. They developed the angle power strip. They now have UPS ports as well as light switches, etc. Great to design with!
Tuck the outlets under the cabinets. If it is really important for you to not see any outlets in the backsplash, then consider running a plug strip behind the under-cabinet lights. This removes the unsightly plugs completely.
Hidden outlets. The island in the previous image has a well-placed kitchen outlet. Houzzers are tired of the required outlets breaking up their beautiful backsplashes, and who can blame them? Under-cabinet outlets are one smart solution.
Savvy receptacle placement. Using a receptacle strip like this mounted under your cabinets keeps the outlets as far as possible from splashes and splatters. It means less time cleaning the receptacles and also makes it easier to wipe down your backsplash. Perhaps we're just shaving seconds off your cleaning time here, but I like this idea. Another great spot out of the splash zone for electrical receptacles is on the end of your base cabinets. How to Hide Those Plugs and Switches
Build in a power strip. We need to have electrical outlets to plug in all of those small appliances and as mandated by building codes. Just because we do, though, they don't have to mar the beautiful backsplash we've just paid a lot for. Consider installing a plug mold at the base of the wall cabinets or the other options shown here.
