I've adored this picture since the first day I saw it. What a delightful collection and how brilliant to place it in front of a window where it can really be appreciated.
It’s hard to beat the effect sunlight has on glass in general, but with colored glass, it’s like an electric rainbow. Collect various colorful glass dishware and hang them in racks in front of a window. It’s a functionally sophisticated display: Your dishware will be right where you need it, and in the meantime, they’ll create an artful exhibit.
The working colours in the glassware share their colours in alignment for harmony within the look. The elements in the photo are all alike in their own kind of way.
We're having two new windows built and installed for my colored glassware. We've replaced this little window with a big 4'x5' set of casements, pushed out a foot and filled with shelves, with a second sliding window on the inside so dishes stay clean of kitchen "schmutz." There will be room for all the glassware to spread out to show off its lovely shapes. The current window holds only about half of the colored glass I have accumulated. As an added advantage, the glassware functions like stained glass to maintain privacy while still letting me look between dishes to see what's happening on the street.
This pik makes me want to go to boot sales and charity shops to start finding and collecting sets of coloured glass objects , the rainbow effect is gorgeous , a great idea if there's an unpleasant view x

I'd like to do something whimsical with colored glass, maybe colored bottles or weird bottles with colored water, in front of a window - but maybe bathroom, not kitchen?
