The custom stovetop hood in this newly built kitchen addition was hand painted to echo the gold leaf details enriching the antique ceiling lantern. Note the lantern's Chinese red paint that catches the eye and enlivens the room with an unexpected splash of color.

Anne DeCocco Yellow is tricky, tricky. It changes so much with the light. I suggest that you look at Ben Moore's Butter/2023-60 and also at Weston Flax/HC-5. Both are nice yellows.

love: the backsplash, the table and chairs, the white and yellow color scheme, the crown moulding, black cupboard knobs... I'd like to add a cupboard by where our phone is for cookbooks, and continue the counter top under the window and put stools there... the same color as the chairs.

Very nice traditional kitchen! Love it! I could live with the dark counters but, would prefer something else. Something about this looks a little bit dated? Maybe it's the counter tops?
