When doing a new faucet with a butler faucet for filtered water... should the finishes on the two always be the same even if from different manufacturers? We've got 2 stainless steel, but one looks brushed (matte) while the other more shiny. Should we replace one? »
Rebekah Zaveloff When working with most finishes from 2 different manufacturers you'll often run into issues with them matching. Chrome is the only one that doesn't look that different from manufacturer to manufacturer. Brush stainless, satin nickel, etc. are the toughest. I'd suggest talking to the company you bought them from and see if you can get a different water filter with a closer finish. Franke, Rocky Mountain, Kohler, Insinkerator, all carry water filters
By adding an over the sink cutting board, you create double use of the second space work area, and can then store the cutting board in a pull out cookie sheet drawer.
close up of the steel upper cabinets shown earlier. a way to have glass protecting open shelving (I dislike the bulky look of closed upper cabinets in a kitchen).
I love the metal and glasscabinets and the dark red brown wood and the multi colored glasses and plates and bowls behind the glass canitry which just tops it off, like a veautiful necklace, but on a kitchen, not a person.
