jules53 I would think that if people want to sit most of the time - the bar should be much lower, closer to the hight of the dining table which is around 30". Am i wrong? The place I'm making is very small therefore I can't have a dining table. I'm left with building a eating bar. Just don't know how comfortable that will be. it's very confusing.Thanks

ruthmand The stools have footrests which make them quite comfortable. But if you prefer seating at dining table height you may want to try something along this line:

Debbie M Looks like Maple. With wood flooring options being so variable, it could be some other option too - like pine or even oak but to me, it looks like Maple.
