Should the TV and the couch not face each other? We have a living room which we are trying to decorate and am facing a dilemma where for the correct viewing distance, the couch and the TV will be on adjacent walls not facing each other. any other way will reduce the viewing distance. Is this arrangement uncomfortable? »
nehas yes, but if the television is there, then it is quite uncomfortable to see it for a long time correct? I keep seeing the pictures of homes which have a seating arrangement like this one and think that it is mainly for conversations. But if we have a family house, where someone or the other is alway watching television, won't this be kinda uncomfortable?
noxveris I prefer this arrangement. It allows me to lounge or lay down on the couch and watch the tv easily, because it's beyond my feet. If it's directly across from me, I have to crane my neck, or watch tv sitting up.
Lighting above bookcases. Something like that could add interest in living. Don't like how bookcases side out from fireplace. Takes away from fireplace
