Seamless look - How did you get the seamless look in the shower? Is it a single slab or was it cut in pieces then installed? The veins all flow smoothly and I want that look! How did you do it? »
Zack|de Vito Architecture + Construction It took very precise selection of the slabs, but mainly it was an amazing fabricator who took the time to do it right. It is all 3/4" slab material with mitered edges.
brenda2244 Oh thank you!! It's just gorgeous ! That's what I'm wanting in our master shower. I'll show our fabricator your picture and tell them to do it like that. Thank you so much for sharing!
shower bench - Hi,
I want to have the same bench in my shower. What do I tell my installer how to make it.
If you can direct me to instructions, I would appreciate it.
Thanks! »
Zack|de Vito Architecture + Construction This was all very custom, if you show your tile and stone installer this picture they should know how to do it. There are some products available, or they can make one.
snepote My GC and tile contracter are debating how to make and want me to go with a simpiler triangle. We see basic triagle products, but this one was special because of it's shape (5 sides vs 3). Do you know if it was one solid piece of stone, or if was it mounted to some board? If it was a board, do you know what it was made of?
What are the dimensions of the bench? - what are te dimensions of the bench? My bath is getting done this week. The installer wanted to do a triangle piece but this is so much more appealing! Beautiful bath! »
Marble looks beautiful in showers, but it's too soft to use by itself in a shower bench's construction. The same is true of wood. These benches need the help of a metal bracket or custom metal tubing.
A shower bench. A microcorner in the shower is a good spot for a shower bench that is within reach of the sprayers but won't get in the way when you're standing. This is great for universal design, leg shaving and within-reach storage of shampoos and other products.

Marble would be too expensive, but a solid wall (instead of tiles and grout) seems like it would be so much easier to clean. What are choices for solid shower walls?
