lefty47 HI --- I was told years ago to use dog and or human hair and or steelwool , just dig it into the ground. They also hate constant vibrations , so installing a garden windmill is suppost to work. There is also gizmos that do the same thing, maybe the hardware store can help you.I have also seen these spicks that you push into the ground and they give off some kind of electrical charge or something that's irritating for them. I would think these would be safer for other animals, like the family dog , than putting poison on the ground which some people do. These little critters are hard to get rid of but maybe one of these will do the trick for you.
