Above: The Sandefurs' house sits just across from the beachfront. The ocean can be viewed from the second floor. The open plan and ceilings of the living room and kitchen provide full access to the views and the glow of the soft beachside light. The light fixture over the dining table was salvaged from Second Use. The curtains are made from canvas drop cloths hung on wooden rods.Louise: What do you love most about your neighborhood? Kathy: Walking on the beach and observing the wildlife from the tower room. We see lots of deer, goldfinches, eagles, owls and, of course, seagulls.
