This classic Tudor is located in the first and oldest Garden City
community, Forrest Hills Gardens (fnd. 1908) designed by renowned Landscape Architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr.(son of Central Park Designer Frederick Law Olmsted). In keeping with the exclusive nature of the surrounding community, Studio D will honor the classic and timeless Tudor style while integrating a modern lifestyle. Currently undergoing a renovation with Architect Gerold Buck, the project reveal is planned for spring 09’.
Shortly after winning the commission Studio D began the design effort in earnest for this complete renovation. The completed design will incorporate such modern amenities as radiant heat, commercial kitchen, digital platform 11 head
steam and spa bath, and wine bar while seamlessly integrating classic details including antique Roman Terra Cotta tiles shipped directly from Italy, leaded glass, and period specific architecture.
