Hi Mary. This is a natural quartzite (not to be confused with engineered quartz agglomerates like Silestone and Ceasarstone). Stone suppliers often use their own names for stones to eliminate the chance of a contractor using a different supplier. This is called Madre Perola. It really is a lovely stone. And extremely durable too. Thanks for asking!
