Monica Chi - Rebecca, I am a huge fan! I follow ALL your videos on Youtube, Pinterest, Houzz, and everywhere else. I didn't think anyone could top my prior love, Candace Olsen, but you did! Thanks for answering everyone's questions on houzz. You are so diligent. I really love how you repurpose used items, as I do the same from garage sales, consignment stores, etc. Please check out my style on mrs chi or monica chi. I would be honored. May God continue to bless you Rebecca......Monica »

dcapellan Hi, first I must say and I am not just saying this. You are one of my favorite designers and your designs are superb, first class. I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos. Your vision is so inspiring and practical. Thank you.
On to the question. When you searched for this piece on craigslist, what did you look for; what was the query used? BTW, Pashmina is such a gorgeous color. What color did you chose for the trim, white dove?
Do you think Pashmina is OK with Natural Cherry - Hi, I am a fan of your design, had been follow you at Youtube and your design just amazing. I am having house built. We will probably go with natural cherry cabinets. I am thinking pashmina paint and white trim like your picture. Do you think it would look be OK and should I go dark or light floor? And is this Pashmina wil be too dark for north facing open floor plan? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. »
Robeson Design HI jillwei,
I am reluctant to give advice like you are requesting over the internet because although you have given me some information, there are a lot of things I don't know about your home. Paint colors are the last thing I pick because they are easy to adjust once everything else is decided. I will however give you some basic principals for you to consider in making your choice. Pashmina is a fabulous color and goes particularly well with a COOLER color pallet. Cherry on the other hand, has a WARM base and does not typically go well with taupe based paint colors. Other things to consider are your fabrics for window treatments and upholstery. Along with your art work and accessories, you need to take everything into account with your paint selection. You can see why its not an easy answer and very difficult for me as a professional to give you solid advice.
I hope that helps. Sorry I couldn't just say yes :-)
You might enjoy our most recent video on YouTube. Its of a multi million dollar home in Southern California. I explain a lot of my thought process behind the design.
Enjoy, Rebecca
