Combination Entryway, Stairwell and Hallway get a simple makeover by painting the stair railing pickets white and staining the handrail and stair treads a deep rich espresso. Adding a fresh ficus tree in the center of the staircase and adding an antique sideboard which was stained espresso as well. Add to that, Stacking Mirror and art pieces, a buffet lamp and silk roses and you have a beautiful, yet understated walkthrough to the fabulous Family room :-)

What product did you use to darken the railing? - What product did you use to darken the staircase railing to update it. I watched your youtube videos, and you mentioned "ghost coating". Is this a polyurethane with stain in it? You are really enjoyable to watch and have a fun and approachable personality, not to mention that your design style is incredible!! I wish I could come work for you for a year, I could near a thing or two! »
Robeson Design Thank you Karen,
To be honest with you, I don't really know what product Oscar my stainer and cabinet builder uses. Its something he has concocted.... He says its a transparent lacquer. He sprays it on with a ghetto spray pump and I know he mixes the products but I never see the original containers so I don't really know. I wish I had an answer for you...... tons of people ask.
Thanks for following us on YouTube, ......means a lot!

Well deserved, I can tell design for you is such a passion and a part of you that you don't mind being generous with you knowledge and that makes you a very generous person too. Best of luck! Karen
A touch of greenery is an inviting way to welcome guests to your home. This entryway by Robeson Design is accented by a ficus tree, which has smaller leafy plants planted at its base for a double dose of flora.More:Retro Houseplants Get a New LookThe Succulence of Succulents in the Home5 Reasons to Design With Houseplants

Dark wood/white/greenery...my combination...do not like light floor in blonde wood unless could cover with persian runner to take away from the light wood.
