This freeform pool has a raised spa with a Jandy sheer descent spilling into the pool. The coping is a grey limestone which accents the Techo Bloc paver patio. To keep the pool sparking the filtration system features a Jandy Aquapure Salt system and the pool is cleaned ba a Polaris 380 pool cleaner. The back wall of the house is broken up by ashade pergola.

What part of the country is this? Does the limestone get too hot? »
pavers, and other suggestions - I'm having a pool restoration/renovation done, and trying to decide on so many things. My pool is a block wall that is going to be made into a solid concrete. I'm considering a liner that is fairly new, and is not the typical blue. It's called "sand pebble" by loop loc, or vynal also makes the same one. It gives the water a more natural look, where when looking into the water when it's crystal clear, instead of seeing a blue liner at the bottom, the water instead just takes on a more natural clean ocean look. I'm doing away with the fiberglass steps, and having poured concret steps built, and trying to decide on a design for them.. 2nd step being a small ledge, tanning ledge?? also deciding on a sheer decent off of a wall that could be built next to the long side.. jets? I know there are also swim jets, and little volcanoes coming out of the shallow end. can one have too many things in the pool? what are your thoughts on this. ALSO.. I am also trying to decide on pavers and can't make up my mind. I've looked at Techo bloc.. could you tell me which one is being used with this pool, and the color as well. thank you! »
Ridge Pools It sounds like you are taking on a VERY EXTENSIVE PROJECT. Please thoroughly research your contractors qualifications. I haven't seen too many liners installed in block or concrete pools with great results!, especially when trying to incorporate poured stairs. Also be cautious as to how many options you try to incorporate into your design......simple is often times much more elegant. The pager used around this pool is the Techo Bloc Inca series in a discontinued color "sahara". They still make the paver, it is under "slabs" in there catalogue but they have three new colors. Hope this helps Good Luck.
Leeanne H. Thank you so much for getting back to me! yes.. extensive is NOT the word, lol.. as far as research, oh boy,,, I do alot of that, thank you! I feel very good about this contractor, he has taken me to so many projects that he has completed, and ones that he is in the process of, so that I can see structurely how it will be done. My block was was originally built in the late 80's, and is very sound, I've heard more then steel. Yes, gunite is much better, but it's not what I have. I've taken many photo's of liner pools with poured steps, if you'd like I could send one to you. Of course, it takes on more of a gunite look because one doesn't see the solid, fiberglass step looking very different from the rest of the pool. After the steps are completed, the liner company will come to my home to take all measurements, and the liner is custom made to fit exactly. Not all, but some of the liners have a special texture in the same print, for covering the steps, because it can get slippery if the homeowner doesn't keep their chemical levels just right. I've looked at the Inca, and like it very much! It comes in a blue/gray and apears very much like bluestone. As far as quality, would you say that Techo is better then the other big brands on the market, ex: cambridge, unilock?
thank you again!

Ridge Pools The pool is a shotcrete pool with a medium grey marcite plaster, I am not a liner pool builder. I am sorry I am not familiar with the liner you are asking about or the look it will have under water. Good Luck.
