Contemporary home with a beachy feel

I have a great love of the ocean and wanted to incorporate it into our new home. We had some challenges to overcome, one which was the extremely large windows, and two the floor to ceiling bookshelves. With the help of Atlanta designer, Rachel Greathouse we were able to achieve the look we had envisioned. By painting the bookshelves the same color as the wall it provided a more subtle look, plus the installation of the over-sized ceiling fan warmed the space, giving it a homey feel. We also used beach themed accessories, and custom linen drapes and pillows as well as incorporating cool tones of blue, white, red and green. We feel we accomplished the look we desired.

dcgatorwife They were customed made. You can find the fabric at any high end fabric store.
