jackbbun I also love everything about this and have a small powder room that I didn't know what to do with until now. Can you please tell me the paint and tiles? Thanks so much.
In the bathroom. Pendants hung in front or to the sides of a mirror in a bathroom can be a good alternative to more traditional sconces. The height at which they are hung should provide the best lighting while avoiding being so low that one would bump their head when leaning over the sink. When selecting fixtures for a bathroom make certain they are rated for damp rooms.
1. Asymmetry. The vessel sink, mirror and pendant light are all on one side of the vanity in this serene powder room. With asymmetry comes balance, and this photo is a study on it. Notice how the following items balance each other: alcove niche and vessel sink; mirror and towel bar; and pendant light and flower arrangement. Just looking at this bath, another one of my all-time favorites on Houzz, makes me feel calm.
Line a niche. Niche spaces are always great little spots to have fun with design. This could have easily been painted a color or even left white, but the tile gives it dimension. Don’t forget to accessorize your niches; these extra spaces are opportunities for mini design statements.
Towel racks are not just for the wall. Consider placing them directly on a bathroom built-in near the sink. In effect, the hand towels become apart of the overall look instead of a standby necessity.
