Dave Adams Photography I am not certain but the landscape architect told me that pea gravel does not work. It was some sort of course crushed stone, nothing fancy, sort of like standard 3/4 crushed aggregate. It held its place well and didnt feel too bad under foot, although I wouldn't have used it for areas that would be used barefoot.
Though perhaps more filled with furniture than is typical for a patio space, French elements still shine through here, with the open terrace, stonework and hedge defining the space. The symmetry of the plants also keeps the French-inspired feel.
