Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC Usually the bottom of the pendant is at about 6' above the floor. If you make it lower, they hang in your face.

Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC No grease problems! Most people do the heavy cooking on the front burners. The side of the island you cannot see has cabinet doors with a drawer above. There is a sink at the far end of the island.

Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC I don't have any more pictures, unfortunately! I think all the hanging fixtures you mention are fine as long as you vary the material, texture, and shape. For instance. I would not want them all to be glass. This house as a drum shade over the breakfast table, just out of the picture, that is more scalloped shaped. At another house I did, the pendants in the kitchen are cylindrical, but the pendant over the breakfast table is rectangular. They just need to have some sort of unifying detail, such as all the same color of metal, or all the same style feel, without being match-matchy. I hope this makes sense!

choochkitchen i have a kitchen with windows on three walls and love the idea with the windows behind the stovetop.....as i want to keep the sink and stovetop on the same work area counter...do not want to cross over floor from island to another counter.

Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC It's Walker Zanger "Grammercy Park" in wedgewood blue. Their current stock of wedgewood blue is more blue than this is because they have changed their manufacturing process to be more reliable.

Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC Upper cabinets always start 54" off the floor. The bottom section of uppers is 42" high and the top section to ceiling is 30" high. The crown molding is about 4' down.

Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC 3' 4" x 8' What you see on the end is a set of refrigerated drawers. Facing the window is the sink cabinet under the sink at the far end and tall doors with adjustable shelves inside. The side with the bench is only 8" deep (due to the refrigerator on the end).

Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC It's a Sherwin Williams paint and is one of the whites that had a slightly blue cast to it. In some lights the cabinets look really pale blue and in other lights, they appear white.

Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC I have the same set up at another house and that homeowner has a grass cloth shade that rolls down. Her window sill is about 6" deep plus another 4" behind the range gives plenty of distance from splatters. You could even box the window out a little further.

Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC It's paint - Benjamin Moore "Palest Pistachio". It's very slightly blue, but mostly looks white. The backsplash is very slightly blue also, but bluer than the cabinets.

Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC These pendants are made by Troy Lighting and are called "Sausilito". I would imagine that most major lighting stores could order them for you. They come in some other sizes, too!

dljmth If the back edge is 3" from the cooktop then what is the counter depth for the entire run? Is it on standard 24" deep cabinets or did you have deeper cabinets (and counters) made?

Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC The entire run is 24", but pops out about 3" on either side of the cooktop. You can see this in the picture if you look carefully.
