Advice on stone for between gaps? - Advice on stones between gaps? - We just created a patio just like this. We got 24"x24" concrete pavers from home depot and we left a 2" space between the tile. We are trying to figure out what stone/sand to put between the spaces. We were advised to look into Gator Polymeric Stone Dust since its meant for gaps up to 4" but my husband and I feel the Stone Dust looks more like a grout and we like the look of loose stone/rocks instead. We brought a few bags of small 3/8 river stone and we put that between some of the gaps to get an idea. we love the look but I'm afraid they will get kicked up or washed away with rain/wind, etc. Do you know of any product (like a clear glue or something) that we could mix with the loose river stone so that we can still get the look of the loose stone but make sure it stays in place?? In pavers the most important joint is the one between blocks, something that is treated as a fairly wide zone in this example. Small rocks soften the otherwise hard and flat pavers and create strong orthogonal lines.
Similar for path between driveway and front door. Use concrete pieces with same proportions as bricks and gravel like mortar to match house brickwork. Maybe I make the concrete pieces...
river rock between paved panels, this could be used between the new pool deck and the existing patio to meet the two paving materials and address the drainage
Use this as a guide for placement of the concrete pavers along the back of the house. Instead of the pebbles, the pavers should be set in crushed blue stone.
