It should come as no surprise that Tineke has a minor in Art. This becomes evident when seeing the use of art in her designs and observing how the color and patterns seen in a piece can set the stage for a design. While this living room is full of pattern, it still feels serene. The green in one canvas is repeated in the drapes, pillows, a band of trim on the lampshade and in the floral arrangement. The blues are repeated in a large scale rug, which grounds the space, becoming a highlight of the design.
