Is this fabric mandarin/ivory or is there another orange? I have a sample of the imperial trellis II in mandarin and it looks must "rustier" than this, which looks more like a true orange. Help...Thanks! »
Is the bed skirt custom made or was it purchased? If so, where was it purchased? I am willing to pay anything at this point. I know what I want....just having problems finding the perfect thing. »
Here is another image of the room which I included to showcase the custom headboard. What is better than seeing a bit of Imperial Trellis in Mandarin on a headboard with an accent of nail head trim? The addition of pillows and a bedskirt made with a coordinating orange and an ivory stripe detail are the perfect compliment to the headboard. Simple but striking.
In a bedroom, a tailored skirt keeps the feel of the space more contemporary. Don't be afraid to show off your skirt with some detail: a band of a second fabric, buttons, bows, or fringe, depending on the look you want.
Considering swapping out your bedding? Go orange! The mix of an orange headboard, accent pillows and bed-skirt with neutral bedding will bring in that fall aura without going overboard.
... but sometimes more is more. On the other hand, if a major endorphin boost is what you are craving, there is nothing to stop you from going for full-on color. Tangerine is known to be an especially happy hue, so it is a perfect choice when you want a mood boost. Try balancing a large-scale print (like on the headboard shown here) with solids in tangerine and white. Contrasting piping or grosgrain ribbon trim looks especially crisp.
