An open plan within a traditional framework was the Owner’s goal - for ease of entertaining, for working at home, or for just hanging out as a family. We pushed out to the side, eliminating a useless appendage, to expand the dining room and to create a new family room. Large openings connect rooms as well as the garden, while allowing spacial definition. Additional renovations included updating the kitchen and master bath, as well as creating a formal office paneled in stained cherry wood.

AHMANN LLC The bench is about 19 inches deep and is fairly consistent relative to the custom oval table.

nader8055 Never mind. I see it from the dining room pic and figured out the layout using the picture from the backyard. That being said, if it were not part of a main traffic area, how much width would you allocate at minimum?

Creative Lighting If Restoration Hardware no longer carries it, try Hudson Valley Lighting. They manufacture a lot in this style.

Emily Hurley I think there are certain kinds of paints that yellow less than others, but once they are yellow, your option is probably only to repaint them.

AHMANN LLC We use Benjamin Moore Paint. The whites hold up well. The cabinets have a factory finish and will also be color true for a good while (not counting dirty fingers).

AHMANN LLC The ceiling is Benjamin Moore Ceiling White 258 and the Walls are Benjamine Moore American White 2112-70.
