This is one of the BEST uses of space that I've seen. The entire space is so natural! I grew up in a beach house that sadly looked NOTHING like this (we had tree frogs in the shower house)! Is this a low profile dishwasher? - I am struggling with my small kitchen space and low countertops in my 1927 Tudor. I've been told that there are drawer dishwashers or ADA compliant options that will fit under my countertops - which are less than 34" high. If can expand door between kitchen and dining room toward back of house - reclaiming the pantry as more kitchen/dining (maybe even bathroom space) like the idea of extending the shelf as in this picture into the dining room on the street side of the doorway. No chimney stack movement required.
