One of the island lights came broken! Bummer! This kitchen feels both very traditional and contemporary. Great styling. Custom made vent hood. The "X" on the island end gives a nice "table" effect. The electrical outlets on the island are hidden in a plug strip under the countertop. The vent hood was made to replicate an antique hood. The lights are Visual Comfort. The marble countertops are Carrera marble. The new sealers make white marble a practical choice for the kitchen (amazing!)

Custom hood? - Who did the custom hood? I think that is stunning! Who cares about the light shade, it doesn't matter the kitchen is beautiful....light or no light. »
Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC We had a local sheet metal guy make it up. The straps are actually copper painted black. I love the kitchen too! This is a remodeled 1930's Tudor cottage and turned out fabulously!
Don't you think that the picture would be better if you waited for the new lamp? - The kitchen design would look a lot better without the broken lamp (even if it wasn't your fault in first place). I think the overall it's good. »
Stephanie Garcia I'm not against the design...I just think that when we have a good finished work, you always should show it in the best way... In this case, the owner wouldn't allow it, which is a shame... Like Ellen said, this things happen.... It's cool that she has the picture, at least.
