tjc999 Miele doesn't seem to make anything this thin - most of their hoods are ~4 inches thick. However, Futuro Futuro's "Razor" is an almost exact match to the hood in the picture - 1.5 inches thick. http://www.futurofuturo.com/wall-range-hood-WL36RAZOR.php

In this kitchen you can barely tell where the drywall stops and the glass begins. Tip: I've heard it recommended to temper glass behind the stove, which is what we've done on our projects. But, beware: glass often breaks in the tempering process, so the lead time may be longer due to breakage and redos.
