Sarah Mellor Great question! Motherbear is correct. In order to achieve a shower with no curb it takes a sufficient amount of space and plenty of pre-construction planning with your contractor. There are many factors that come into play while determining; structural elements, space between floors & joists, enough room to slope floor to the drain, etc. This set up happened to have multiple shower areas, this one being the steam shower with little water to splash about.
Sarah Mellor I will have to check the exact square footage but I think it was about 450-550 ish? That would be including tub, toilet, shower, steam, vanity and master closet areas. We had to work with a few structural constraints that pushed is in the direction of this floor plan. It wasn't easy! Thank you for your interest!
The secret drawers - what are their depth? - I love the little built in set of storage on the left - are they drawers? And, if yes, approximately how deep are they (going into a closet or something next door?) Thx! »
Perfect balance of lighting & mirrors - what brands are they? - I have a similarly narrow space for vanity lighting with a double sink. I was wondering what brand of the sconces and the mirrors? And, if you don't mind, the measurements there? I am struggling as to whether I can fit three sconces with two mirrors - and this looks perfect. Thanks! »
