Hi, I would like to do the same on my wooden floor...what do you use to protect the floor after painting it in way that it withstands use & cleaning.
Thank you »
LinOne My favorite sealer is "Seal & Finish 100% Acrylic Clear Coating (82-10)" by Coronado Paint Products. It's clear, water-based, gives a tough finish that repels water and dust with only 2 thin coats. It's made for exterior, but I use it on interior surfaces. Here in VA it's hard to find; I always have to order it through a store found on the mfg's web site store locator. http://www.coronadopaint.com/viewProd.asp?prodID=208
LinOne I'm looking for it too. Maybe this was a custom design. I did find other Moroccan designs, tile patterns, and inspirations at Royaldesignstudio.com (an entire category of Moroccan Stencils), at the Design Amour blog Jan 9, 2009 entry (designamour.com), and on eBay of all places (search for Moroccan Tile floor).
And if you're planning on remodeling some day and don't want to throw good money after bad by tiling the backsplash, painting your floor adds graphic impact for much less cost.

Feeling creative? Grab a paint brush and breathe new life into your hardwood floors with a graphic pattern. No need to be an artist; this Moroccan-inspired floor was done with a stencil!
