BARN BOARD ROOM UP-DATE: Low beamed wood ceiling (scale down to 2 X 4 w/ cove molding). Would definitely o.k. w/ existing plaster swirl ceiling. Use harvest table w/ Hitchcock chairs. Use old colonial dough box, lamp table, phone table, wagon seat coffee table. Note long horizontal picture & sconces above narrow mantel. Note color colonial red & antique blue rug w/ black chairs. Note plaid fabric for curtains made with simple rod hem.

I like the rustic feel of this. Is there a fine line between rustic and Shabby Chic? Maybe. But faking distress on new items is silly.
