martie13 Shall I assume that I am looking at a microwave built in the side of the blue island? What size is the microwave? Any other details that you could share regarding incorporating a microwave under cabinetry? Also, the subway tile is so subtle, but it looks like it is "jazzed" up with molding, different sizes, and a pattern over the stove. What tile are you using here? Finally, what is the most amazing wood you have used on the island? Can you actually chop on it and put hot items? Is it exorbitantly expensive? Where can it be found?
Thanks,

Brownhouse Design, Los Altos, CA It is a custom mixture but Benjamin Moore #803 "Lazy Sunday" is close - there also some rub through and distressing on the corners. Blues can be tricking in different spaces - try swatches first. :-)
I love how this brilliant sapphire island changes the look of this otherwise all-white kitchen. Without this colorful kitchen island, the kitchen would be beautiful — but nothing particularly unique. Try brightening up your island with a similar hue with Sherman Williams' Dazzle. Do you have a colorful kitchen island? Hand painted. Add some of your own personal flair to your kitchen by selecting a stunning hand-painted sink. These one-of-a-kind sinks do have a hefty price tag, but depending on the manufacturer, you may be able to custom design yours in the color and style you like best.
