The client wanted a space to sit and enjoy the natral light while relaxing and reading.the book case was added in lieu of railing at the top of the stairs to take advantage of the space. We also took advantage of a short wall with a bank of built in drawers, again to maximize use of space. Hardwood floors were added for a warm and natural feel. We also installed a skylight that is operable to allow heat to escape in the warmer months. It also features a solar powered shade to block sunlight as needed.
